Default My exhaust seems too clean!

I've had my 58 plate CDTI 150 Auto for a few weeks - I've been gradually going over the car inch by inch putting things right or just cleaning things up. I noticed the exhaust tail pipe is very clean - no soot whatsoever - you could almost eat your dinner out of it! I've checked and exhaust gases are coming out and there are no obvious holes elsewhere. As an Auto I've been told the car has a DPF but is it usual for the pipe to be so clean on a diesel? I use Millers in the fuel but having read other posts/threads wonder if all the 'crap' is being caught elsewhere (storing up trouble). Any ideas or am I being paranoid?

On any dpf car the tail pipe should remain clean as this is a good indication that the dpf is functioning correctly. It is actually a warranty test at work to wipe the tail pipes with a cloth and examine the colour and amount of soot on them.
