Aircon refill

After months and months the garage has finally found the leak in my aircon and replaced the condensor

All good so far but I did notice that the printout from their aircon system shows 660g of gas being added, where it says the capacity is 730g on the plate under the bonnet. The printout shows the correct car (I.e vectra 2006> <3.0) so I assume its all automated.

Is that likely to cause any problems? The aircon is working although it isn't as ice cold as I was expecting but it's been so long since it worked it might just be me!

Yep, should take 730g according to autodata.

Unless they've added 660g of refrigerant and 70g of PAG oil?

Can't say whether 660g will make much difference or not. An AC system will naturally lose some of its contents over a period of time. I can't see 660g being too low for it not to operate properly, but that's just my view and not one of an AC expert.

stick a thermo in the vent, that will tell you mate.

You will normally find its +/- 50g or so and they probably havent allowed for the excess that stays in the ac machine pipes, but they should have put in the correct ammount regardless. You'll probably find it won't make any difference but the fact that they haven't started with the correct ammount of gas I'd be tempted to pop back and ask why.
Look at it this way, you book your car in for an oil and filter change, the engine requires 6.5l oil would you be happy if there was only 5.5l of oil in there ?

Thats what I was thinking - if it specifies 730, why only put in 660? It does say 19g of oil was added as well but that still doesn't add up!

I don't think their machine works anyway - its been regassed by them 6 times in 6 months before the leak was found!

What is temp. supposed to be at the vents? If its not fully working I'd rather pay someone else to regass it as I've had enough of trips up to there! At least they're done the expensive bit of replacing the condensor.
