    Default How low

    Hi folks.
Im thinking of lowering my 56 plate 1.9 sri diesel vec.
I only want to fit the springs as i dont want to affect the ride too much and ive seen that you can get 30 mm or 45mm lowering for it.
Personaly im thinking of the getting the 45s but does anyone outhere recommend otherwise?
I may also be looking to replace the standard rims to 18s in the future but dont know if they would scrub with 45s.

If you're keeping the original shocks, 35mm is your absolute limit if you want any kind of lifespan out of the shocks themselves. You can go lower of course but the shocks will wear out a hell of a lot quicker because they're not designed for it.

Better to use a set of springs and shocks that are designed for the drop you want.
