    Default Travel Assistant

Is the travel assistant actually a fridge or just a cool box?

It's a fridge mate. It plugs into the socket on the floor.

Its just a fan that keeps the box cold.

So theres no refridgerant involved? Next question is does it actually keep things cool/cold or just a gimmick?

mine keeps things cold, doesnt seem to make any noise, it seems to work in the same way a mini fridge works or at least it has the same metal plate in in my mini fridge at home does, doubt it needs refriderant but couldnt say for sure.

Mine is cold and you can hear the fan slightly when its on and it gathers condensation inside so more than just a box with a fan i used it all the way down to Billing and it kept things really cool

So does the fact that the fitting kits are no longer available render the assistant useless you have the fittings already or can the fitting kit be put together if you were handy with wiring and metal? Only reason i ask is ive been looking for one for some time but is useless searching any longer if it cant be fitted properly. Many thanks
