Y22DTR fuel pump info?

Has anyone changed the fuel pump on the Y22DTR engine?

Is the ecu coded to it (Could I fit a second hand fuel pump ecu without Tech2)

And how easy is it to get to?

no not changed one,

yes its coded to the car, and no you cant fit another one without first of all having the donor one reset before removal or at least having the code for it to clear it once fitted to the recipient car

its chain driven and due to labour costs to drop it all and take the chains off thats normally a factor in writing them off.

Any idea what normally goes wrong with them?

If its just the fuel pump ecu can they be removed (like some others)?

the fuel pump will still need to be removed if u want to change the ECU, have seem problems where the seals get leaky causing poor starting, have seen them not controlling the boost control solenoid, and heard of them not injecting/operating correctly causing it not to rev correctly...
