Default ABS and TC lights on

Well after 12 + months of trouble free driving, the abs and tc lights came on yesterday when exiting an island, so just wondered if anybody had any quick fixs or ideas what it could be before i get it looked at. not had any work done on any brake components recently. cheers.

Guessing the lights are on permanently?

Have you tried disconnecting the battery to see if it clears?

If so, I'd say you have a problem with an ABS wheel speed sensor. This affects both ABS , TCS and ESP.

Try the car battery first, then if that fails, look in the manual at the fuse / relay list, give those a check... then try disconnecting the Hub connections and make sure they are clean and dry...

IF you still have a fault... I'd say its a new hub time... best to go to a garage with Tech2 so they can tell you which one. Very easy job (just done it to mine) maybe 2 hours max and the part from Ebay is pretty cheap.

    Default

As said above, it does not always mean a sensor fault. Quite often it is moisture in the wiring that causes corrosion and then faults develop.

If it clears itself once you turn the ignition off and on, the next time it happens check to see if the indicators still seIf cancel. If they don't then itís your CIM playing up.
