Cool Getting It Remapped 1.9 150 (MY trip)

Ok So just a quick note.

After a few days of talking the wife roudn i've got our Vectra 1.9cdti 150 booked in with ben at MAS to have the DPF removed and the EGR blanked and a full remap.

    Why am i doing this

1: The EGr has over the last few months thrown the EML light up, i've cleaned it and the boost sensor, it didn't take long but with 2 little kids finding the time to do this is bit of a hassle. I've come to the opinion that i've going to need a new EGR valve, i can fit it my self but that will still cost me around £90 for another.

2: DPF removal well it kept trying to regen every other week, (TBH i wasn't aware of the whole issue of DFP's when i bought the car) recently its been blowing smoke out from the front of the car when trying to regen, it went on a long run only 2 weeks ago at a decent speed this was the last straw.

From what i can see a non vaux DPF could cost around £250, im not able to fit this so add this on and we are probably looking at £300 before the vat. Also i could be in the same situation in a year or less since the car isn't always used for long trips.

So the minimum cost for sorting my issues is £390.

Getting MAS Performance to sort my issues out costs £350 all in.

So a £40 saving, tell a slight lie as my car needs servicing anyway in a month or so, so it makes sense to get it done before the remap fresh oil and all that.

this is my journey from DPF hell, if this helps 1 person then i'm happy

    haha

well a guy on hear said if we leave it it could break the turbo and or cause more damage, the turbo died on our 55 plate astra 1.7 110 and that was like £1100 under warranty thankfully. so as soon as i mentioned that we probably aren't best driving it around, it soon seemed like the best idea to spend £350 and save any more hassle, and i said it could just conk out on the motorway if it wants to and you could have the kids in the car.
