UHP4 bluetooth loom CD70

hi there,

Well - finally received my UHP4 bluetooth with a custom loom to install with my CD70 satnav.

It all shows up nicely on the screen, however I have a sneaking suspicion that since the car (vectra 07 estate) had cd30 mp3 + nokia kit installed when I received it, the plug which goes into the HU is "defective"...

I need to rewire the ISO plug to accomodate the microphone to be used with the UHP.

I can dial, and listen to the dialer/receving end- however the Mic is dead...

any ideas on how to get the loom back to original? any diagrams which shows which wires should be set back...

ISO ? hopefully you mean Fakra plug ;-)

does your car have the microphone fitted...

Have you made sure that no wires have been cut and removed the remaing of the nokia kit?

ahh - ok, I thought the fakra plug was the gps antenna plug... but if it's the main fat plug which goes into the HU, then yes - the Fakra :-)

it has the microphone fitted, yes.

I'm not quite sure how to identify how the plug originally should be configured...

Well the easy way is to make the wires your self.. as its not for sure you roofloom, or body/dash loom is ready for the microphone..

the fakra plug is the GPS.. the mic is sometimes fitted into the locater in the alarm sensors but not all have the wire that connects it to the roof loom..

it was a complete custom wire loom of ebay. so including the mic and all...

From the main plug, there are 2 wires which are routed away, and goes to the old nokia kit - question is, how difficult is it to take this back to original configuration... and this is where I get confused

And another thing - I still get UHP safe, grrr!

UHP safe, means you have to have it coded to the rest of the car ;-)

But the pins goes to pin 29 and 35

if you dont have pins there its just insert them.. (if you need pictures pm me your mail and ill provide where they should go..)

shouldnt matter if the pins are right or not, if the custom loom is built into a multiblock plug like most of them out there the mic connection would be fed directly into the back of the cd70 thus making any thing that comes before it irrelevant.. what loom did u get?

That's what I thought as well - I wonder if the "UHP Safe" disables the mic function... Because dialing works fine, so does the phone book (despite the message)
