    Default Yes yes, another DMF question...

    I do apologize if this has been asked/answered before (I did search but didnt find it)

    The DMF is on its way out on my Dads CDTi 150....i think so anyway, rattling when clutch pedal half pressed?

    Does the Clutch HAVE to be replaced at the same time as the DMF??....just that the clutch has no slip and is very smooth and at just over 90k i wouldnt say it will be needing replacement really?

    This job will cost enough anyway so if the clutch wont need changing, it'll save a few quid.

    Also, will it matter or not if its not done straight away?....it wont knacker anything further will it, and the car will continue to drive ok.....I'm sure ive heard of people doing 30-40k on a jiggered DMF.

    its advisable to change clutch while you`re there, its all apart anyway so why not? do you really want your new flywheel getting wrecked by the 90k plus clutch.

    the clutch will need replacing anyway , on a few of the dual mass replacements I have done the clutch rivets have been a bit loose due to the flywheel rocking or being off centre & stressing the rivets .

    Strangely i was just about to ask about the CSC as ECP have 2 clutchs on for the car, one with and one without the CSC....i'll get the one with it

    and another quicky...how many hours Labour should it take to fit the Clutch and DMF....this is a competent Vauxhall specialist BTW

    DMF, clutch, slave & fluid... no point putting old gear oil back, 6 hrs tops
