    Default Seat adjustments broke!

    Hi everyone,

Well all of a sudden both seat adjustments to bring the seats back and forth have broke!

I can't seem to figure out if the pully cable has come undone as I can't see very well.

But if I get behind the seat, I can turn the adjustment bar to move the seat... at least ive found a way around, but its not ideal.

Is this a common problem for these to come undone or break?

    Any known fixes?

    Lew

I replaced mine in my Astra on my vxr seats so that the seats seat tilt am slide the seat has to come apart an has rivets that need removed.

Not a bad job if you can get the parts. I used my old Sri seats.

Might be worth ringing vx to see if they sell separate. If not go to a scrappy an just fond the worst seat ever that still moves an buy that for as little as pos

Yes, it's just a cable. Don't think it's expensive at VX, but anyway, you could still put a bicycle brakes cable if you find the OEM part expensive...

Happened to me a while ago. £10 for the cable with the sleeve from vx. Really easy to fit, crank up your seat as high as possible, from the back seat get under the seat & just clip it in, near the end you have to twist the bar then just hook the cable into the hook, that's the trickiest bit. Hth.
