    confused Bizarre indicator issue

I'm having an issue with the indicators on my '06 facelift, I'll be indicating right to turn into a side road, as soon as I turn the wheel the indictaor is cancelled

Doesn't happen all the time, but bizzarely it does every time I turn into my street!

    Anyone have any ideas?!

Oh no, what's the CIM module and is it expensive?

I also have an intermittent issue where the clocks go off until the car is restarted.

What happens if you steer slightly to the left before putting the indicator on, then turn right? Try it in a carpark or when it's quiet.

When you put the indicator on, the CIM takes note of the position of the steering wheel. When it sees the wheel turn away from that point and then pass that point again, it cancels the indicators. If you've already got the wheel turned a little to the right (as you would do moving to the centre of the road before you actually turn), then indicate, then straighten up (so you follow the road), then turn right into the junction - it sees that as a 'wheel was turned then returned to same position' and cancels the indicators.

Sorry - that's probably not the best description of how it works, but it's the same in quite a few 'modern' cars. I get the same issue turning left on a particular roundabout. I find if I indicate too early, the action of following the curve of the entrance to the roundabout then straightening up a little so I'm in the right place on the road cancels the indicator. If I steer slightly right, indicate left then swing left to the right place, it stays on.

Thanks, that might be the issue as it only really happens regularly on that road but occasionally elsewhere.. I'll give it a try and post back!
