    Default Faulty warning light?

I have a warning message coming up telling me to check my rear right hand side brake bulb. So I have checked it and it is fine and working as it should. The fault keeps coming up everytime I getin the car though. Is this a faulty sensor of sonme description and is it possible to check the sensor or clear the message once and for all?

The bulbs go high resistance as they get old and that's enough to trigger the bulb check. It usually means the bulb isn't far from going anyway, to be honest, I'd just change the bulb, probably find the error just goes away

I'll give it a bash and see, I've got some bulbs somewhere anyway. Will the error clear itself then?

Are you sure it hasn't failed?

The lower tail light takes over the role of tail/brake light should the upper tail/brake light fail.

ie, when everything is ok - from top to bottom

    Indicator
    Tail light / brake light
    Tail light
Fog tail light (drivers side only)
    Reversing light

But when the brake light fails:-

    Indicator
    no light
    Tail light / brake light
Fog tail light (drivers side only)
    Reversing light
