    Default ferry access

Anyone ever been on a ferry with an irmy front splitter fitted? {the car not the ferry, tho it would look quite good i spose} i,m not talking the big booze cruise one either, the missus wants us to go over to mull in may. now i,ve been on that route with the truck but didnt take any notice of the boarding ramps, got me quite worried about leaving my splitter in scotland

Eh it will be tight mate but it depends on the tide in Oban and Craignure for the return, High tide you should be fine, low tide your ****ed..

I travel Via calmac all the time to Islay and the amount of people that hit their splitters is unbelievable

If you've ever been there you'd know, it's a lovely place. Just don't go at the end of April or the end of October if you dislike goths.

    You shouldn't have any problems
Arrive early and request that you reverse your car on, turn on the deck so that you can be the last car off, and reverse off
    I've seen it done before

    Lol!!

Good advice. Slightly off track here, but anyway! Brings back memories of a seriously pi55ed frenchman trying to reverse his Peugeot 305 Estate onto the ferry at Le havre. I was about 6 years old, my dad roaring with laughter with me sat on his lap, my mum holding my other brother with her hands over his eyes while he missed the ramp twice and went around in a circle. Then he stopped, got out and shouted at the ferry because is kept moving!!!

if anything this will pull your splitter off completely...

Give calmac a phone mate and they will advise you of tides etc closer to when you want to travel..would be a pity to miss out on the wonders of balamory
