Would people be interested in this kind of thing for next year?

This is a shot in the dark, but i did this (or a similar thing before for the vpcc) but what sort of interest would there be in a trip overseas to a european car show? I sorted the first ever vpcc trip to Belguim back in 1998 and it was really good fun. We took the channel tunnel and drove to a car show in belgium, camped the weekend and the came home.

Now what i propose is a slight variation, something no other club has done yet.

We take the Fjordline Ferry from Newcastle to Norway. As my wife is the person who sorts out the groups on the ferry we will get a b!oody good deal. Also, we now have a few norwegien members who may want to meet up or help us out with directions etc. We could then either attend a car show in Norway (if they have them) or drive a bit further into europe for one there. To give you an idea, My wife sorts trips out for the Rolls royce owners, and Morgan owners clubs who then have organised driving trips around the country.

Its just a idea at the minute, it needs a lot of thinking about/research but if people would like to do this then im sure it can be arranged.

I'm tempted.... done the Sport Corsa Club Belgium Treffen a few times in the past, and the Europeans definitely do their car shows in style.

we'd go friday and come back monday. All dependent of which country the show is in, and ship sailings etc. If we went to Norway, we'd get it really cheap and onto the ship ahead of everyone else as i know the boarding staff (ive found a show in Sweden), but we can always go to belguim for the corsasport show (its not just corsa's before anyone asks) on the tunnel or ferry if people prefer

MMMMmm norway sounds like and 18hr crossing and it aint cheap over there as they do their mainland shopping in newcastle as its the cheapest way to stock up, but im up for any continental excursion .

No mate, I was in my nice comfy Astra G, at the back of a convoy of 50 Nova's, back when I was a member of "performance astra group" and "performance nova group". I did feel a little sorry for the Nova drivers!!!
