New MAF and code reader recd today.

Well how excited was I to receive the new MAF and my code reader!!

I used the code reader first, it did not find any fault codes, but I used it to delete any old stored codes.

Next I fitted the new MAF and used the readers to confirm that the MAF was working and the readings increased when I revved the car.

Took the car out for a test ride, full power has returned and no new faults thrown up on the dashboard, even after a thrashing.

I should have tried to read the old MAF before I changed it, but was in a hurry to get the car fixed.

So fingers crossed its cured!!

So, now I have a code reader and willing to help anyone in the North East.

which code reader did you buy?..does it read live data?

In an earlier post was recommended to buy the PRO-SCAN one off Ebay. Yes it reads live data and probably a lot of things I dont yet understand as like a typical man, I havent read the instruction book yet!
