    Default problem in the morning

Hi all hope you cant help, in the morning or after the cars been sitting for 8+hrs when i first start the car seems to squeal when i rev gets louder, i think its from one of the belts but its doing ma head in, it goes away after 25sec, i got the alltenator checked thats working fine but one garage said that the battery is not fully charging, and its drawing current from somewhere when the car is off, (that will be ma aftermarket mp3 player) could this cause the alltenator or belt to squeal ???????

also know it ant the clutch it was only replaced dmf 1half year ago, and when i dip the clutch the sound doesn't change,

I asked the garage is the the altenator belt tensioner (need tighted) he said they cars run a automatic tensioner ???????

Can anyone help this is peeing me off since last year lol (next door dont seem happy hearing that at 5am :P

That would have been my first guess was the alternator belt.

    Default

Try spraying a bit of WD40 onto it and see if the squeal disappears. Sometimes the belts seem to dry out!

there is no play in the pulleys,

Ben50n i was always worried about putting wd40 on that belt with no teeth, will it not keep slipping ?

Also i forgot to add in my top post is that anytime when i am driving i turn on the AC it feels hard for the car to take off on first, its like trying to take off on 2nd,(drives fine when into 2nd) some loss of power anyone have/had this prob

alternator was done may2010 and june2010 turbo was renewed, Timing Belt kit + water pump was done in 2010 and the DMF was done on month before that...( i been alot of money on this car in 4yrs)

    Default

Its ok to squirt a bit of WD40 on it, it lubricates the belt and it is highly unlikely to make it slip. It will soon dry off and the squeal will come back, if it works, maybe change the belt.

    Default

a/c puts another strain on engine and you will lose a small amount of power, not really noticeable unless your going uphill or something, but I have mine on a lot and don't really notice much power loss
