    Default Egr valve stuck/ jammed

Hi my egr valve jammed 2 weeks ago Causing engine to rev slow and have no power at all (wouldn't even rev past 3k)

I stripped it and the spring bit that's goes in and out with the solenoid was very stiff cleaned it with brake cleaner, ran like a new 1 for 2 weeks

Now same prob again. Can any1 shed some light on why it would happen again in so short time space?

    Thanks

im on the original egr, covered 110000 now,all i do is every six months take egr off and undo the little torx screws to reveal the plunger, then spray wd40 onto it, if u depress the plunger it sucks the wd40 into the unit, keep repeating till its nice and loose and a good amount of oil is drawn indie unit, ive never stripped it down completly

The EGR is evil & should be punished...

blank it off & have done, in the long run the egr is killing your inlet manifold!

I stripped it today and put grease in it also, I had put ac90 on it 2 weeks ago hopefully the grease will do the job, running better at the mo, I have had a new inlet manifold not to long ago hope it doesn't kill that one lol

    Thanks
