    Default Sunroof noise?

    All,
Anyone with a sunroof? Reason I ask is mine suffers loud wind noise at motorway speeds is this usual or a dodgy seal?

It's a long time since i've had sunroof so could do with a comparison

    Cheers,

    Paul.

My facelift does as well, I cant find any leaks and Vx have looked and said they cant find any problems but at 60+ there is significant wind noise, comparing it to the wife's B sunroof it seems to sit slightly lower which creates a very slight lip which possibly is causing the noise.

Cheers Bowler, it's common then. Mine seems to be slightly lower at the passenger side rear corner which is creating the noise. Closing the blind helps but even so it should be right. Yet another build quality issue with the facelift!

Yeh shut position Bainie, really annoying on the motorway. When you look from above the car I can see that it's slightly out in the corner that's what is causing the noise.

I don't think that would help in my case though as the glass dips at the corner rear of the sunroof, that is where the wind is catching, it's only slightly but it's enough to cause the wind noise.

they could replace it with a new sunroof
its only about 30x 10mm bolts that hold it in over time it will bust its self off the track
