    Default More on SCV's Quick answer please!

    Right, my new SCV's have arrived but on the box it says Toyota avensis! They look like the right ones and they are a DENSO part but are they right?

    Where did you source them from?
    OE ones should come in a box marked GM with a hologram

    If they are used / reboxed then it is possible they could come in any box
    The parts should be marked Denso

    If these are indeed used, I do hope they have a warranty
    Plus it would be a large amount of time wasted if these do not work correctly when fitted

    The Toyota Avensis was never fitted with a 3.0 diesel engine

    Nope they are new in a Toyota box, the Avensis is fitted with a denso fuel pump though...

    0960710-0052 un 096710-0062 I found those numbers from DENSO, valves came in lot of Toiota, MAZDA, NISSAN pumps, and all seems have similar problems with blocking!

    At yob I checked OE packing- outside was GM box, but inside was DENSO parts!

    Maybe i am missing something but if all these valves were becoming 'blocked' surely that wpuld mean that the fuel filter is inadequate and any cost should be born by the manufacture of he vehicle, especially if you have a FMSH. Surely it is a case of the valves seizing due to lack of lubrication, i.e lower sulpher content (Diesel has had the sulphur content reduced dramatically over the last few years). i know from personal experience that using a fuel system cleaner and lubricator probably extended the time it took for them to seize in my y30dt, which was my fault because i didn't use Forte for the last 6 months before the seized.

    Ok so the valves fit and car is happy again. Next time i think i will pay someone else to do it for me! But now I have a few leaky fuel lines! Not major but enough to smell in the car, anyone got any tips on tweaking them up?

    Tommorow is time for mine SCVs :@ Today get them from local DENSO dealer, costs abowe 155 Pounds with discount! Hope that engine stopping staying at place will be gone!
