    Default FAO HAPPYPOSTIE and others

hi mate, thought it be better for others to see the replys, to ask on here rather then pm.

    1. did you rattle can your grill and brows or have them paint shopped, if you did it where did you get your colour mixed from, i had halfords mix me up a touch up kit for a scratch on the back bumper - far from impressed, the colour they mixed looks the same in the bottle, but it is far from the same, it is a completly different colour to my paint work when i applied some to the scratch.

    2. is the boot lip spolier bonded on (not check for bolts etc) for removal

    3. the vxr boot spolier i won, does this need to be bolted to car or fitted using sealer.

to be honest im thinking about getting the brows, chrome grille and the vxr boot spoiler sprayed in the paint shop, and also get a quote to re spray the entire back bumper.

leads to another question anyone recomend anyone in northumberland / newcastle to get the above sprayed, not looking to spend £100s getting the bits sprayed though.

may consider rattle caning the eye brows and chrome grille if i can find somewhere that mixes paint closer to my car then what halfords did.

I got my paint mixed from North East Factors, pay cash and you can get the VAT knocked off, very good paint IMO, I have sprayed my side skirts and a wing mirror that was booted off, the match is VERY VERY good.

If you do go with rattle cans VX do have Misty Grey (Part #93165271). However The colour match is not brilliant and you'd be far better off getting it sprayed at a reputable body/spray shop

I bought some to respray my mirror cover/headlight washer covers but wouldn't really use it for anything larger

    Hope that helps

it probably is the right colour paint ,but most ppl paint plastic,we all know that even vx and other car companies have trouble with getting the plastic bumpers to look like the rest of the car .

as Ian says , if i remember right rajoo at the sprayshop said that the misty morning is only 1 colour/shade . but i think you will get a better finish with a good bodyshop .
