    Default Skids

Have got a couple of skids recently on my Vectra C. She's a standard 2006 150bhp cdti. 150k on clock but going great and cheap to run. Have had it tracked and balanced, tyres good, but handling poor. Original springs still on it but mechanic says they and the shocks are ok. OK isn't good enough when the car wants to cross the road at 45mph in a moderate corner and collide with anything thats passing !! Any ideas greatly appreciated

Check suspension bushes for wear or play.

Tyres also make a huge difference

Cheers. Will have mechanic check bushes again. Like I said tyres good and wearing evenly but were not the dearest due to budget. Might try again for better. Any ideas whats best without breaking the bank ?

Appreciate that as may well be the tires. I'm driving same roads in same conditions for almost 4 and half years since I bought her and have done 185k (kilometres that is) in that time. last few months terrible. Had to buy cheaper tires and they are a pair called Landspeed 215/55ZR16 on the back and a pair of Triangle 215/R55/16's on the front. Back were Eur130 a pair and a little later on bought the front 2 for Eur140 a pair.
