Default Engine Help please, Vectra C 1.8 LX

    Good Morning Again,

I had my cambelt and a full service done last week. Once i got the car back it was running lumpy and jerky when pulling off at low revs.

The car was taken back last week and the cambelt was taken off to ensure it was alligned properly which it was, but still running lumpy.

It went on the diagnostics machine and came up with a cambelt sensor fault, and this was replaced.

However the above has not made any difference to the running of thecar , still lumpy and jerky at low revs, its as if it doesnt have enough air coming into the engine, and the
exhault quietly pops id assume dur to no air.

The mechanic has said that he has had effects the other way when a car has been over revving but not under.

Does anyone have any ideas or previous expereiences with anything like this?

Could it be a cracked spark plug, or plug lead? ive heard also a lambda sensor mentioned

Anyone got any ideas or tips on what the next steps would be?

The guys taking the car back to replace everything that was put in for the service to ensure theres not a faulty part that was put in.

    Thanks

    Neil

Is it only when pulling off? Or is it lumpy at idle an other gears?

still sounds like timing , once had a zafira 1.6 brought into me with similar running problems after a timing belt replacement & the inlet cam was a tooth advanced , exhaust was a tooth retarded .
with the mark on the crank pulley lined up to the mark on the back casing you should be able to draw an imaginary line across the 2 cam pulleys , straight through the centre of the bolts & both timing marks .
