    Default Painted my V grill

Give this ago, painting was quite easy, used to do bits in a mates repair centre, mainly prep work and putting back together. Only broke one clip taking it off and 3 putting it on!
used a hot glue gun to tack in place! All worth it in the end

    Before http://pbckt.com/px.U9EiL2

    After http://pbckt.com/px.U9EouX

Have during shots too. Rattle cans from start to finish. Happy with the finish.

Hello didnt remove the chrome I just roughed it up with a scotch brite hand pad before applying the plastic filler primer. (red pad)
Then primed. Wet sanded, then grey scotch pad.
Cleaned before each process before primer. Sanded then before paint, with a hair dryer to blow bits off and panel wipe to ensure no grease and finger marks
3 coats of colour and 3 lacquer

Build the colour up don't rush it! Allow 10 mins to dry with the help of the hair dryer but not too much. Remember your not gonna cover it first time over! Take your time! Try do it in a dust free environment. Plenty of light! Make sure you can walk round it to see you've got everywhere.
Scotch everywhere you see including the edges.

Allow the filler primer to harden and set before sanding. No expert but 1hr 1 1/2 or longer if you wish. I used 1200 wet n dry paper

I think the colour was sapphire black (20r) I think colour code. It does sparkle.

If you've never sprayed like me, I've only ever primered a mini ( lol) and watched my mate paint, watch a vid on you tube a pick up some tips

All bits were £27 from halfords and I can't knock any products or paint!

    Scotch pads
    panel wipe
    Plastic filler primer
    Paint colour
    lacquer

Badge was hard to Come off, broke mine but got a new one, hot glue gun was used to bond it back on and the badge holder on the grill

    The result was worth it
