Have a look here mate http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...-Bar&highlight=
i looked on ere good info but not sure what mine r like good r bad, count from the battery 4321 1 bein near airbox? how do u know whats good bad? some move some dont whats that mean r they broke? which way are they suppose to move up down left right, really aint got a clue lol
With the bar off & engine off, no. 3 will sit pointing at 10 o'clock (the fully open position), when engine is running & idling it will point at 2 o'clock (closed position)... because the bar is off the others will flap about & do as they please, if they're close on high revs it will cause a drop in power & smoke etc...
If you get someone to rev the engine as you observe you will see the 3rd pot open as the revs rise.
Your best bet will be to read up on the link Tony has posted & make your own mind up whether you attach the bar back on, bond the flaps fully open or replace the maninfold alltogether.
hth
not sure which one but its open when engine is off i tried to free some with bit of wd40 started engine and sounded like a bag of crap but went as soon as it started, thing is it dont smoke, power is ok do a 100mph easy, mpg is good ive cured the flat spot by cleanin boost valve sensor n egr and lot smoother responsive, just worried that some r stuck wownt move, and if i keep driving it what will happen?
