    Vehicle : vectra v6 cdti

    Trim : sri

    Year : 2005

    Mileage : 70000

    Default Which one

Been thinking lately about changing my signum cdti 8 v 120 for either the signum v6 petrol or the v6 diesel but cant make my mind up
I used to have a vec b 2.5 gsi and it averaged 28mpg knocking about and up to 40 on a run.
Ive read a few threads on here where the v6 diesel guys arnt getting any more mpg out of there cars than i used to out of my v6 petrol, dont know what mpg you guys get out of your 3.2 v6 cars but the petrol is quicker, sounds better, quieter, and a hell of alot cheaper plus petrol is cheaper at the pumps,is the diesel really worth it.

I get 340miles out of a tank full in my remapped 2.8T signum. thats just mainly A roads .
About 430 if just doing motor way speeds hovering around the 75 mph mark.

There are some good 2.8T signums for sale at the moment , nice and cheap because of road tax .

Very nice mate but i do like a manual gearbox, looked on autotrader and the bay and all the 2.8s seemto be autos in my price bracket, never thought of looking at the 2.8 until you mentioned it,is yours the 230 or 250 as standard.

250 standard ...now 282 and 375 of torque ....autos are fantastic ,I didn't want one .but no turning back now .

If I was looking I would certainly go for that one on the bay ...
an older 2.0T is costing more ..theres no comparison .

Yes mate yours as serious power,a test drive in an auto nearer to home than the one you mentioned is the best thing for me to do,would you consider the v6 diesel over the 2.8 or 3.2 petrol cheers

as Paul said needs to be petrol .unless your doing lots of motor way miles then a 1.9 mapped deisel would be better than the 3.0

My remapped auto 2.8 petrol drinks fuel like its going out of fashion , I drive it pretty hard but I average 18-19 mpg and with the foot right down it the lowest I've seen is 5.8

For me it's worth it I love that car
