    Default Vectra VXR Brakes Fitted

345mm discs fitted today. Car brakes so much better, the brakes don't feel strained under the weight of the car now!

I'm on the hunt for rear calipers and carriers. They appear to be rare as hens teeth! Might have to go via VX!

I love my Vec, best car I've owned, the only thing I didn't like were the standard 285mm brakes. They never felt up to the task of stopping the car and faded too often. (Even under normal braking).

    Car feels much safer!

    Quick update.....

Car actually feels much better to drive! The steering feels slightly heavier which has improved the feel through corners. Steering felt too light before.

Acceleration doesn't appear to have been affected. Was worried initially the heavier discs would make the car accelerate slower. Still feels just as quick as before.

    All round thumbs up!

What is the size of those rotors 345mm? We have here in the States Brembos that came from higher end Cobalts and HHR GM vehicles but they are 317 MM. I'm looking for a used set.

Thanks for the chart, I found some info on the Saab 9-3 brakes that appear to directly match that chart.

The Saab 9-3 SS uses exactly the brake same hardware as the Vectra-C, as they share a chassis. The 314mm front disks/calipers on my Signum were bought from a Saab dealer.
