Default Auto dim rear view mirror

I'm thinking of fitting an auto dimming rear view mirror. Obviously apart from the mirror what else will i need to get from my favourite place.... the scrapyard. I presume i'll need the loom but what about the cowling? I have a feeling that it will have the cowling from the light and sight pack which wont suit my windscreen. Any advice?

not sure. It's something i've never really paid too much attention to. I'm wondering too if there might be a dimming door mirror there too. Do i need some kind of control module for it too?

Cheers for that. It's the cover for the stem that's concerning me most. Will i be able to get it to look neat?

I made a template, then painted the windscreen to match the cover.

If you want to do it properly then you will more than likely need the ribbon roof loom, you could always have a look to be sure though. Get some black vinyl and trim it to the right shape to go under the cowling or trim the mirror down (although this wont look as good). I also needed a session on the laptop to activate the auto dim (along with rain sensor and auto lights I fitted at the same time).
