Default do i need to re clay after 3 month

i started to do a full proper detail on my sisters little ford ka about 3 month ago, a gave myself 2 days to it as it was gonna be a hand polish job, anyways after day one (snow foam, wash clay etc) i was to go back the day after and start to have a go at removing swirls etc, but i got called into work and have never had a spare min since to finish it. Anyway ive now bought a das 6 pro and some other da goodies. ive now got another 2 days spare coming up next week and am wondering if its worth re claying the car or am i ok to jump in with the da after a snow foam and wash etc

Just feel the paint and see if it needs claying.

Not really, unless you live in an area with heavy industry, railway lines etc.

Well it can, you can cause marring to the paint work, that may require machine polishing to remove.

Marring can be caused by claying but normally its due to using the heavy clays if it was my car and it had not been polished and sealed for three months I would run a light clay over it to get any contaminants out and give a clean surface for machine polishing but thats just my opinion

i hear ya, like i say ill give it good going over with snow foam and a good wash etc then ill have a look see how it feels. the only clay i have at the min is the car pro dual clay pack, think theres one fine clay bar and one med clay bar. and just on that note, it says on the clay bar to use ph n quick detailer as lube but im guessing ill ne fine just using water mixed with megs gold clas shampoo in a spray bottle as a lube???
