    Default Exhaust blowing

I have a facelift 2.2 direct that has a scorpion exhaust fitted. The pipes stick out a bit too much on the back and it seems to blow a little too, so today I crawled under for a look and noticed some broken rubber mounts near the pipes and also abit off soot around the last junction where the single pipe forks off into 2 pipes where it's fastened on.
    My questions are
Is the leak where the soot is?
If so when I loosen the bracket to push in the pipes should I apply some exhaust putty or similar and what product is best?
What exhaust mounts should I use? Seem some universal O shaped ones on eBay will these do?
    Thanks in advance lads.

Would that alone stop the blowing or would I need to put some putty on the join as well?

there should be no need to use any sealers etc when joining 2 sections of exhaust together, you could simply try tightning the clamp but it does look like they could do with pushing in more, maybe why your pipes stick put a little too much at the back? as that would make sense mate.

Had this on mine a few weeks ago. I replaced all the rubbers as they were slack and also noticed a sooty trail on the OS pipe on the clamp after the Y split (same place as yours by the looks of it). I just used some exhaust paste I had lying about and and cleaned up the pipe. I checked recently and there was no new (or at least very little) soot. All I did was apply it all round one side of the joint/clamp and built it up around it. This seemed to work.
