Default removing and fitting rear diffuser

Hi folks. My rear vxr diffuser back from paint today.

Just wondering, do I need to take the bumper off to remove the Sri diffuser.

Also the vxr one doesn't have the holes for the tabs at the side like the Sri one. Will I still new ones or?

I didn't remove my bumper when I fitted my last one, but it would be easier if it was removed (mainly when its bonded on). I put holes into the ends, and used some plastic grommets to keep it in place.

Sounds like a plan. kinda hoping i dont have to take the bumper off, as easy at it is. Will line her up later and pop a few holes in and use the old grommets.

    Thanks for that.

Like I say, I didn't remove mine, and I used to masking tape to keep it in place while it dried.

So did you put holes in the outer tabs and then bond it on, put in the grommets and then mask til it set.

Will araldite do the job, used it on the eybrows and seemed to be pretty good stuff (to date).

Yes, thats what I did - I used some silicone adhesive, you can get that from most motor factors.

    K. Diffuser fitted. however the old sri lugs from the bumper are still there.

Am i gonna have to remove cut them off. Can see them sticking out slightly behind the exhaust holes. Was a bit to dark to take any pics. Will get some up tomorrow.

Didn't glue it into place yet. want to make sure it's sitting right first.

Going to have to re-align the exhasuts as they seem to close to the outer edge of the diffuser. Maybe new exhaust mounting rubbers...

Thanks for help Dan, appreciate it..
