Default Cdti 150 starts and stalls

I have recently bought a Vectra Cdti 150 that sometimes starts but then stalls straight away only first thing in the morning when It's cold. Since I bought it I have changed the inlet manifold, blanked egr, intercooler, thermostat and housing and replaced the glow plugs but yet this problem.is still there and slowly driving me mad.
Any ideas what it could be?

    Thanks

I think more info needed srbrian. How does the car drive once started? Any smoke on cold startup when it's struggling? Water and oil levels ok without topping up?

Mightn't be much help but I had the exact same problem with the lorry I drive longer it was turned off the harder it was to start. It would run for a second then cut out. Anyway turned out to be injector sleeve. Could check your injectors. Like I say probably not much help but best of luck with it.

Yes, injector leakage was what I was thinking, although in your lorry it may not be common rail and so the leakage path may have been past the sleeve where the injectors are fed from the low pressure system and into the cylinder.

Maybe a diagnostic leak test would be worth a shot?

Once the car starts it drives perfect, no smoke or anything. It doesn't happen all the time, some mornings it will start first time without a struggle and sometimes it wont i have to try twice.

    ********UPDATE********
Just an update after months of changing and checking everything turns out that it was the Camshaft sensor that was causing it, car starts so much better now
