Default I gave JML Mantis Scratch Remover a go

Found this in Sainsburys half price so down to a fiver.

Thought if it doesn't work then hey ho not a biggie.

I was actually quite suprised with some tests on my car.

I have had a scratch on the O/S rear passengers door which has been bugging me for some time so gave this product a go.

Oh its not very good on deeper scratches but on the lighter ones it does pretty well.

Before and After shots. Total time 5 mins going over the scratch three times.

If they are not too deep then give it a go. I found on the first pass not much changed but stuck with it and by the third pass I was very happy with the results

Decided to give the bottom read door panel the full treatment.

After the scratch remover I then applied AGP Ultra Deep shine to it.

    Its coming up a treat.

Happypostie you certainly gave me the detailing bug

    Thanks Dan

Same here but as it was cheap I thought why not. Have to say its quite good on the lighter scratches.

Done the space behind all door handles now and its has improved them nicely. Can only see a few scatches now (the deeper ones) but you do have to go looking for them to notice them.

Oh just to add there was no adverse effects when using this. In fact the black came back ever so slighty darker.

I tested a very small area first to see what would happen. May I suggest though that you do the same before attacking the scratches properly, just to make sure.

Edit : Thanks Matt (opps missed that bit)
