Angel eyes, how do they perform?

I've been thinking about buying a pair of blacked Angel Eye headlights for my 03 Vectra CDXi in Australia and I've read lots of previous posts but I'm still not entirely sure how they perform in terms of light output in comparison to the stock standard units. I do a lot of country driving where strong high beams are essential and I'm happy with its current performance but was wondering if anyone knew how Angel Eye units compare?

Also, is there any difference in quality between the different Angel Eye unit brands out there? I've heard one or two complaints about certain brands in the reviews section of some eBay sites.

The high beams are the same IMO .
The angeleyes just give your car a different look, they arn't going to project much light onto the road,nor do the vx sidelights.By changing the original smds to the bright white ones gives a stronger out put of light tho .

I reckon I'll hook up 4300k HID's to the low beam as well to boost the output. Thanks for the advice

Triple head SMD's in the halos and 6000k HIDS...

Ian, What bulbs do you have in your high beam? i love that blue reflection!

It's been a while but taking everyone's opinions into account, this is the result.

4300K CANBUS HID kit for the low beam, 10x CREE LED DRLs which I fitted specially and the blackened surrounds on the Angel Eye headlight units. Looks far more unique now.
