Default 245/35/19 tyres and lowered on -30 mm eibachs - What spacers?

    Hi guys,

Been thinking about some spacers to finish off the look of the car outside. If read a bunch of threads on here and am seeing mostly positive things. Question is, what size for the front and what size for the rear? I don't want the tyres to protrude past the arch at the top so was thinking 20mm on rear and 16mm on the front? Is it OK to mix them like this?

    Going on this...

    Thanks

You can see it better in this older pic, I'd like to fill a bit of that wheel arch gap at the top but don't want it to look silly...

If you're going to mount 235 mm wide tyres, you'll install at least 8" wide rims. They'll have a lower ET, meaning they'll naturally protrude more, both to allow keeping the wheel centered and to keep it away from the wheel arch.

Here is how mine looks with 235x35x19 on 19" x 8" ET 35 Irmscher Delta, WITHOUT any spacer :

The original rims are 17" x 7" ET 41, so they have more inward offset than the ones shown here.

Maybe you could consider a spacer might still be welcome, but 20 mm would definitely be too much : there are hardly 5 mm left out of the wheel arches. Having them protrudring anymore would render the car illegal.

Both myself and lee Mark smith have run or are running 16 front and 20 rear. However i had to remove my fronts when i fitted lowered shocks with 45mm lowered springs. The rear i run with 245 but i do get contact sometimes. The ones lee are using are 22mm. But with 235. Oh and wd are both on flakes. Looks much more aggressive

And how's the handling ? Won't the car understeer ?

The 8x19ET35 respect the same central plane position than the original 7x17ET41 (I've calculated), so they don't stress the knuckles.
