Default Astra into vectra dosnt fit

On way to work this morning a kind astra driver decided to try and park his car in my boot Cars now in local body shop who just told me estimate using genuine vauxhall parts plus labour etc is just over £3000. Saying im slightly peed off is a under statement especially when i have just fitted a new flywheel and clutch last month then got it through its mot just 2 weeks ago Only bit of good news is they have given me a brand new merc to play with and the whiplash claim to look forward to

Don't bother just claim clutch and flywheel back as un insured loss. I did it with 4 new Tyres once years ago

To buy it back you just have to ask insurance when they ring you to offer a settlement! Probs only be a couple of hundred quid!If you have somewhere to store it you can keep all parts and buy another vectra or even get it mended probs only be £1k at a body shop without genuine parts.

This sounds like an "interesting" tip / perspective. Would you like to enlighten in a PM ? It sounds like it would be best not posted in open chat

No Its straight forward really. Car got wrote off and didn't want it back. Tyres were 4 weeks old so I moaned that I was nearly 400 quid down and still had reciept so they agreed to add it back on the value of the car they were already offering me. I even had the new owner write to me after he fixed it asking for service history and spare key lol
