Default Are rear shocks double acting?

I have had a bouncy rise on my car since I bought it, I have changed both rear shocks (cheap OEM) and both front (GM originals)

When I changed the fronts it reduced the how bouncy the car was, although the rears didn't.

The rear shock I put on were some unknown brand and don't think they were double acting, are the Bilstein B4's double acting?.

    Thanks

    Tim

    Default

All shocks are double acting as the spring compresses and expands.
