    Default New Tyres.....

What is everyones tyre of choice at the moment?? I have 225/45's on my 17" wheels but they are the usual 'cheap and cheerful' cack that a trader puts on so they are wearing out quickly.

Uniroyal Rainsport 2's (same size as yours - 225/45/17) Camskill seem to be the cheapest for them.

Best tyres I've ever had on a car.

I had Neuton NT5000's on my Vectra - did 15K and the rears hardly seemed to have gone down at all and had no complaints with the handling either...

Whichever you go for, check out Black Circles (blackcircles.com). I've used them on several occasions and despite trying every time, I never find them cheaper. The local garage where I had the BC purchases fitted said they couldn't match the price either. Sorry, doesn't really offer advice on tyre choice but I'm certainly up for saving a few quid when I can.....

I have used (on my last couple of cars) Evergreens, I can't fault them, reasonably priced, very (very) quiet and last a decent amount of time too.

I've yet to receive a competive quote from Black Circles, when compared with other online tyre sellers. BC always come out more expensive.

Kumho KH31 225/45/17 all round for me. Good grip wet and dry, not too noisey and the wear rate is very good too.

Plus they are not that expensive.

    On my second set now.

Bought the first set from Blackcircles then the second from camskill as they worked out slightly cheaper after fitting costs etc

    Is £75 including fitting?

If not, then I'll stick with my Rainsport 2's, which are only a fiver dearer (each)

I fit the tyres myself, I don't know how much it would be including fitting
