Simple answer - the dti's are the the older diesel engines...

I have owned a 2.0dti & it was a good motor for me, however the cdti's are much more refined with more power & better economy.

I thought the dti's were only in the vectra b but this is a c. I take it they carried it over before changing to cdti engines?

Yes, the 2.0 and 2.2 DTI's were replaced in 2004 in the Vectra 'C' by the 1.9CDTI 120 and 150 respectively.

Does reliability equal better. I would take the occasional blip with my 200 bhp, 48 mpg avg cdti over any 2.2 dti lol.

Its not all about speed. No point having a rocket ship, if it lets you down!
