vectra vxr starting issues

hi guys i have a vectra vxr and sumtimes when i put my key in the ignition and turn it i get no lights and it doesnt even turn over until i retry then it starts straight away and sumtimes i get the ignition lights and it turns over but doesnt start and the spanner light flashes then when i retry it starts sraight away any ideas would be appreciated

think really youd need it on the tech2 to see what happening before condeming parts

but faulty ignition barrel

or cim would be my first thoughts

If the EML flashes normally indicates immobiliser fault. If it happens regular and you have another key, try that for
a week, but I would probably say its gonna be the receiver round the barrel.

ive tried my spare key and it still does it ive code read it with snap on but no codes are stored
