Default loom / wiring harness auto: mirror, lights + rain

    Hi there,

Well - I was lucky and won an auction with EX sensor + auto headlight switch, and also a rear view mirror with dimming (+ cover)

I have looked through the how 2's - and there is a great one where you have the wiring done with some idc connectors etc.

I am however not too confident with this type of electrical DIY, and would rather just run a cable and then take it from there..

What part numbers do I need to get this to work, I've been looking at the OPELOEM site with no luck.

Or - anyone got any for sale? :-)

Just to clarify - both the wiring for the dimming mirror and the sensors need to go the back of the car?

And when changing to the auto headlight switch, do I need to change anything in the back of this?

    thanks.

    br,
    Mads

From what I've read on here, the part number for the mirror harness is:

    24450051 (Hatch/Saloon)
    24455219 or 13174250 (Estate)

    http://opeloem.com/opel/vectra_c_200...r_harness.html

    Hope that helps

you will also need new roof loom for the rainsensor, if you want that working... or make up the loom.

I was just out taking a picture of the REC (is that the right term for the rear fusebox?):

The loom/harness marked in red - could this indicate that the wiring is in place for the rain/light sensor?

If this is the case - could you then simply attach the dimming mirror to a "fixed" line (if present) by the lights?

    thanks.

The auto dimming mirror plugs into the socket below the one you have indicated

Mirror loom is in the lower as above.

The top one, also goes to your interiur light ect. You will have to check above your light if you have a spare flat cabel saying "regen" or "regen sensor"

nipmads, i can see that you have 3 40 amp fuses in the REC.. if you dont have heated rearseats, then you can remove 2 of them and use as spare "konstant strÝm"

Kenp: the luggage hooks you havd in the rear, where did you get a hold of this? Nice to have a large boot - but grocery bags tend to go flying everywhere...
