Led side lights

Done this mod on my car where i used the spare illumination wire near the gear stick for my side lights to come on when i unlock the car on my 05 plate full canbus vec.
Tried to do the same mod on a vxr but the dash lights only come on when you open the drivers door which makes the side lights come on but unable to do it when you unlock the car with the key due to it not activating the lights on the dash.
Could this be a programming issue on the car as its been wired exactly the same way i did mine ????

Big thanks for today Paul, didnt quite get done what we aimed to do but at least it's finished with a unique mod. Lol
