Default 1.9cdti 150- seems to have less grunt once it's warmed up on a long run?

Could this be start of a egr fault? All pipes look ok, egr and boost sensor been cleaned. Vauxhall couldn't find and thing and cars running latest software. Cars all serviced up to date, (36k) no smoke, and swirl bar is ok.

Would Unplugging egr for few weeks help rule out the egr valve?

hi craig 1985 , had a similar problem for many years now , first drive of the day loads of grunt as you put it but next time you get in the car seems like its lost about 20% of its power , its like this untill left for many hours when engine has cooled rite down again , i allways but this down to the egr valve kicking in when engine has fully warmed up and yes it does seem better when unplugged ..

You will certainly do it no harm by unplugging the egr, i drive with egr unplugged permanently & only plug it back in for the mot, if anything you will prevent the swirl flaps from failing prematurely.

The only negatives I've noticed with unplugging the egr, is tad noisier and a tad thirstier.

you need the plug in part, it plugs into your obd port underneath your ashtray. you connect to it via bluetooth then it takes readings from your ECU.
it also works on some other cars so is quite handy for helping friends. ps if your handy on your android you can find a torrent for the pro version of torque and install it dont know how much it is now.

I can't say mines any noisier & I'm currently running 39.4mpg according to bc, that's 100% town driving with a heavy right foot... maybe you have other issues?
