    Default 2.2 direct misfire madness

Hello everybody, ive owned my signum for about two years now and It's been a great car, I've driven across europe twice in it and didn't miss a beat, I was driving with a bit of a heavy foot one day and I got a misfire, turned ignition off the on and fault cleared, was ok for about two months and had really forgotten about it, one day I again drive with a heavy foot and got another misfire, anyway decided to get it plugged in to see the fault codes, came up missfire cylinder 2, checked compression all ok so I got a new coil pack, fitted that and all seemed ok for a while, then I decided to give it a service, so changed oil and filter, pollen and fuel filter. Fuel filter was black as the ace of spades really like tar!! Went to start her back up and straight away a misfire! Plugged it in again, misfire number 2, so I changed injector 2 over to cylinder 3 then plugged it In again, misfire cylinder 2, I'm lost now, at the moment I've got it all in bits again, I've removed the fuel pump and am cleaning at up as we speak, any advise would be much appriciated as im at my wits end! Getting really fed up andi need my car back on the road ASAP! Help

next step should be a compression test & if that comes back ok its time to check ecu / wiring as coil pack & injector have been eliminated .

Yea was thinking maybe ecu? I've gone through both the injector harness and the main wiring harness, there are no damaged wires stall, was hoping that I'd find a damaged wire, I've checked compression ad is all fine, how do I go about getting the ecu checked? Is is just a case of buying a new one and getting it coded?

    Thanks for the reply

Ive had the pressure regulator replaced under recall at vauxhall, I've taken the fuel pump apart, all the diaphrams are fine, was hoping they were going to be split, what else goes wrong in those pumps then? Is it just something you can't see because it all looks good to me?

Right then guys n gals, I've put everything back together tonight after inspecting all the wiring etc etc, I've taken apart the high pressure fuel pump and cleaned, new oil etc etc etc, tried to start the car and wouldn't start, checked all connections and found the plug that goes on the throttle control flap is abit dodgy, wiggled it and swirl flaps started making a funny buzzing sound, anyway after my wiggle it started fine, 10 seconds later the engine light came on again, started unplugging random plugs and tried starting after each time I unplugged something, when I started with the fuel pressure regulator unplugged it ticked over perfectly and the light didn't come on, I didn't leave running for long as not sure if this is a good idea to run it like that, anyway I've only just had this replaced at vauxhall? Surely this can't be faulty already? Or is it the high pressure pump and unplugging the pressure regulator just changes the way that it runs? What do you think? I'm abit confused to be honest lol
