Just bought a vectra 1.8 Design 54 Plate, which has 86k miles on it and last service stamped in 2007.
Has been driving perfectly since last week but now the ecu light has come on. I had someone do the pedal test and errors were P00170 (Fuel Bank 1) and P0567 (Cruise Control)
I put some redex in the tank and 5 miles l8r the ecu went off.
I had ordered an OPCOM from ebay to read any future codes and after 2hrs trying to install it, I got it working kinda
If I plug the reader into the car while engine running and try to read the car, I get an ecu communication error. BUT if I try it using the CCR 2006 radio part and use Pin #8 for communication i get something working and spits out alod of code stuff referring to audio. But I do get the option to find faults.
I went into there and the ecu was lightg was off, but after 5 mins the light came back on and now shows error 55 (Replace ECU). Again, this code only comes up when I try to read it through detecting audio.
I have tried using the CAN but no matter what pin # i use, it says no communication with ecu
I'm now stuck and not sure what to do. Replacing the ecu unit seems abit expensive for a "just in case"
