Default What to do with my now empty fish tank?

morning all. Some of you may have read about my recent seperation from my wife, anyways yesterday she said I could collect my fish tank so when I went to drop the kids back off I found she had emptied the tank and given the fish to her dad for his pond grrrr ok they was only gold fish but that not te point haha so now I have an empty tetra aqua art tank, I'd really like tropical fish but as it's only a 60 litre I know I'm limited to what I can have, I will I'm time step up to a bigger tank but for now I'd like to get my fish tank set up again and as said maybe look at tropical fish rather than goldfish. I may also look onto an external filter as to make a little more room in the tank as the tetra one supplied is rather large internal filter . So guys tropical fish , talk to me haha advice please, how many which ones etc thankyou

I had a 60l tank a few years ago now. I had about 20 neon tetras, 20 guppys, a male Siamese fighter and a few other 'cleaning fish'. It was nice and relaxing i found, just bubbling away in the corner. The only pain was cleaning the damn things and keeping the water conditions right. I'd go for the external filter as the internal ones spoil the look of the tank IMHO.

Could easily get away with plenty of small fish. Red tailed shark was my favourite. Just make you have places for fish to hide/claim as their space. Especially with more aggressive fish.

Yeah I'd agree with the filter , problem the the tetra one is its size as it houses the heater too, wil defo look for a good external one.

Use it as a vivarium, and if the ex wife ever pops round, let the snake out of it
