    Default How close to yours?

During a long drive home (21 hours) to keep myself going I had a thought.
I have a Silver Vectra Estate reg number BN04 FFR and in the same town as me there is a Champagne Gold Vectra Estate with the reg number BN04 FFE, pretty close.

So what is the closest to your plate you have seen?

my old b was r85luy and i saw r86luy once.

i was told that dealers get allocated a block of plates so if its very close it was probably the same original dealer as yours came from

Yes, dealers often register cars in batches, makes sense really if you've sold five cars in a day to send off the paperwork in one go to save on postage - so they very often come back with sequential registration numbers.

My dad's old Renault 14 GTL was ECH534T. Just down the road one of our neighbours had a Renault 12, that was ECH535T - both bought on the same day from the same dealership.
