I'm thinking of getting some sort of warranty for the V6 derv. I would quite like something that will sort me out if some of the big faults rear their ugly heads SCV's, DMF, etc. Does such a thing exist? Any reccomendations?

Yea Mate am with warranty direct covers everything just text u Bak btw
£462 for 12 months. Sound reasonable?
~Depends on age etc.... My cover for both my 150 CDTIs
1: 2008 1.9CDTI @ 90k miles - £293
2: 2008 1.9CDTI @ 35k miles - £293
both with warranty direct.
I don't really like then warrantys as seem to be able to do a lot of riggling out of paying. An some have a £500 limit others have £2000 limit.
Most won't pay for diagnostic work. An with v6 being a fairly unknown engine to most garages it could work out expensive.
They want service history with vat receipts etc
If you can find one that seems good make sure you read an understand ALL the small print.
Seen a few times like o that's 2 weeks over due service so they won't cover.
just check how much they actualy cover for the first repair and if u have to pay like an excess etc
some only cover up to a certian value
My online quotes were far higher than over the telephone so call for a quote.
WD are unlimited claims up to the value of the vehicle. The part needs to fail before warranty will action. you will probably get 60%-70% parts covered and 100% labour at that mileage too. Yes car needs to be fully serviced with books stamped and you need to continue to maintain it ... fair request in my opinion, and you can choose either dealer or VAT garage of your choice (latter being a cheaper premium).
Each claim has a £50 excess to pay - (saves you claiming for silly stuff I'd imagine same as insurance)
I've been in contact with WD today, they gave me a quote for £495 for 2 years warranty for my 2.0T which I'm very tempted by..
In real term problems, have you guys had any problems dealing with them?
I've dealt with them, the warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on. Absolute near impossible to get money out of them. But that's my experience, others may be different. You'd be better off putting £40 aside a month
