    Default The Signum get Ceramishield'd

Not really posted in here before, but i'm an avid detailing fan. I recently got my hands on some 'ceramishield' which is a semi permanent paint sealant.

Basically you have to polish back the paint so there is no protection, give an IPA wash down and apply panel by panel. (ok there's a little more to it that that, but those are the basics) What this product does is bonds to the paint on a molecular level giving you a high gloss shine and protection for around 3 years with regular washing.

Enough of the boring stuff, here's some pics

    Post polishing, applying the ceramishield.

    Post ceramishield, checking for defects.

And just a few 'money' shots. Woke up this morning and the finish is even better, will gradually get glossier until the weekend as the ceramic coating hardens.

    Hope you guys like

Correct, thats my good buddy Chris' Astra, lovely motor.

It's not necessarily expensive, it's just time consuming and easy to get wrong. Ceramishield is £50 from Concours: http://www.concourscarcare.com/shop#...roduct=8229150 Fortunately, we have a great relationship with the guys at Concours Car Care, who are the uk distributors for the product, and they allowed us to use their unit for the day.

Hours of prep has gone into the paint work prior. The finish though is astounding

This is a thoroughly tested product to be honest buddy. I applied Ceramishield Pro to mine which should see around 3 years protection.
