    Default Petrol Fuel Filter

My yesterday's, rather verbose, thread on this topic failed to elict an answer. Could someone please explain how the filter is removed from its holder once the fuel hoses have been disconnected. Does it simply slide forward? Or does a retaining tab first have to be lifted, as the Haynes manual says?

    Thanks.

    Diesel or Petrol ?

Makes big difference to the method used to remove.

haha it even says petrol in the title. As GT says man it just slides out. There is a small torx bolt you need to loosen to allow the filter to slide out the mount.

Thanks for the info. Where's the torx bolt situated? I didn't have much light when I was looking at the filter and couldn't see much. Is it hidden behind the filter? Horizontal or vertical? Thanks.
