    confused Diesel Additives

Can anyone offer some guidance regards diesel additives. I've heard that the fuel pumps go on the diesels, but I'm a great believer in "prevention is better that cure", especially as these pumps are expensive. I 've always used Esso or BP, but would I benefit from using Millers Diesel Power Plus ????

I use said, but haven't noticed a big difference in performance. As to pump life, ask me when I've done another 40K.

i used the bp extra and didnt notice any difference.........next time I'll save my money.

I have used millers and its hard to notice, you do suffer from the placebo effect if not careful.

Shell Diesel Extra seems to go nicely, has cleaning agent additives and doesn't cost any more than standard diesel (unlike BP Ultimate)

That seems to be the best option - no-one really seems to get vast amounts of performance or economy increase with the super duper diesels, maybe all the suppliers should sell something like that!

I had a X20DTH (2.0 DTI) Vectra B that did about 62K when the pump kicked the bucket but I had run it on 100% vegi oil at one point...my bad.

My current Z19DTH has done over 40K with no problems.
